This studio quality device is equipped with power attenuator, a multi-impedance loadbox, DI, and re-amping box in one compact unit. This all-in-one analog interface is ideal for guitarists and bassists who want studio quality tones at the flick of a switch. Two Notes spent many years collecting technical research regarding the requirements of guitarists and sound technicians, to create the Torpedo Reload. They looked into the common challenges posed by miking amplified instruments either on stage or in a studio, and came up with a reliable, versatile solution with a superb audio quality.
Attenuator
Unlike other attenuators on the market that may show your amplifier a higher impedance and thereby crush its tone, the Torpedo Reload provides you with a constant loadbox impedance which is similar to a speaker’s, and which is low enough to drive the speaker in the ultimate way possible. The tone picked up by the loadbox is therefore transmitted to the speaker without any modification, delivering a superb tone.,/p>
Hi-Z instrument DI
The Torpedo Reload allows you to plug your guitar or bass into the DI input and send that signal to your microphone preamplifier connected to your recorder. This high quality function allows you to later re-send the signal to your guitar amp with the Replay function. The Reload preserves your guitar's original tone and allows you to re-inject it into your amp using the replay function.
Construction & Security
The Torpedo Reload is complete with an aluminium and steel chassis, that provides you with a roadworthy structure that can be taken on the road, or used in the studio. This reliable housing is built to last, and includes rubber feet for stability. This durable unit also includes an active security system that protects the player and the amplifier against any overheating and inappropriate impedance matching.
Wall of Sound Plug-In
The Wall of Sound (WoS)from Two Notes offers a virtual alternative to traditional miking to achieve an authentic tone never experienced previously with simulations tools. Simply plug Reload in place with your cabinet and connect the amplifier’s speaker output to it and without modifying any of his/her usual settings. From there, the Torpedo Reload Loadbox output signal can be sent to any microphone preamplifier and that signal recorded thanks to your DAW on a track embedding the Torpedo WoS plugin. The Wall of Sound also comes with a library of 24 cabinets and 8 microphones based on popular models.
